

Glenda Lurlene Walker, age 75, of Grand Prairie, TX, passed away on December 7, 2016 of encephalitis. Glenda was born on February 5, 1941, to Archie G. Florece and Alice Lambert Florece in Reader, Arkansas. She was the youngest of three daughters. Glenda graduated from Chidester High School in 1958, where she was a star basketball player. She was very popular with the students and teachers alike.
After high school, she married Ted Walker of Bluff City, Arkansas. Air Force Sgt.Ted Walker was transferred to Rapid City, South Dakota where he and Glenda had two daughters, Glenda Ann and Vickie Sue. When finally settling down in Grand Prairie, TX, Glenda became a Real Estate Agent. She loved her job and earned a good reputation as an honest and caring agent. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and doting grandmother to her only grandchild, Christopher L. Massey.
Glenda was preceded in death by parents, Archie and Alice Florece; husband, Ted Walker, and sister, Kathryn Smith. She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Ann Kerr and her husband Kevin; Vickie Sue Foltz and her husband David; sister, Peggy Vogel and her husband Don; grandson Christopher Lawrence Massey; nephew, Jerry Smith; nieces, Peggy Moreno and Deborah Lyman and many others of an extended loving family.
