Guadalupe Vega Torres

Guadalupe Vega Torres, age 87, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Guadalupe was born in Elsa, Texas on May 10, 1937, to Jose Vega and Ana Manuela Alaniz. She married the love of her life, Eloy A. Torres, and they cherished their time together.

For 48 years, Guadalupe worked as a Seam Inspector for Tri-Valley Fruit Cannery, which was the largest fruit cannery in the world. She was also a dedicated and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Among her many hobbies and interests were growing and enjoying her beautiful plants. An avid seamstress, Guadalupe was also gifted in the art of crochet. But above all, she enjoyed spending time with her precious, beloved family.

Guadalupe is survived by her children; Alfredo V. Rubalcava, Sylvia R. Nieblas, Esther Torres Ghio. Her grandchildren; Elisa R. Nieblas, Delfina Nieblas, Salvador Nieblas, Alfredo G. Rubalcava, Norma Rubalcava Wilhite, Francesca Ghio Wassom, Antonella Ghio Olsen, Georgina A. Ghio, Josefina E. Ghio, Rafaella E. Ghio. Her great-grandchildren; Scott Wilhite, Victoria Wilhite, Jose Trinidad Castellanos, Dalia Castellanos, Gema Castellanos, Oliver Eloy Wassom, Lilliana Elisabeth Wassom, Gabriela Rose Wassom, Lorena Elena Olsen and Antonio Brian Olsen.

A funeral service for Guadalupe will be held Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 4:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2010 S. Carrier Parkway, Grand Prairie, TX 75051. A burial will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive Arlington, TX 76012.
