I had the honor of taking care of Jeffrey. He would often talk about Nintendo games. He almost always talked about his sister and animal crossing. He was so vibrant and cheerful with so much love to give. This is how I’ll remember him. Rest easy Jeff. 

I knew Jeff from  Mercer.  Jeff was family to me at Mercer in our close-knit group of all of us kids going to class, studying, going to parties, eating and laughing together in the cafeteria. If you were having the worst day, Jeff always reminded you not to take life so seriously and always communicated in his Jeff way that everything would be okay. He was always the life of the party. It always felt off whenever he was not around. 
You were a beacon of love, light, and happiness, Jeff.  Love you. 

Every time I see him 
We just be kicking it hanging out 
Just be bringing smiles and laughter in the game (I never forget any of the memories that we had) Until we meet again soon

Jeffrey was always a kind and loving young man. His smile was amazing to see. This is what I think of when I think of Jeffrey. 
If you look for me at Christmas 
You won’t need a special star- I’m no longer just in Bethlehem, I’m right there with you. You may not be aware of Me amid the celebrations- you’ll have to to look beyond The stores and all the decorations. But I’m there in your heart.

I met Jeff back in 2nd grade at Swift Elementary. We quickly became friends & Jeff became the 1st best friend I ever had. In the middle of 3rd grade, I moved to another part of Arlington & we lost touch. It wasn't until 9th grade when I was at Arlington High for JROTC that I reconnected with Jeff. So many years & we still recognized each other. After that year, we lost touch again. I heard he moved to Georgia for awhile so we couldn't hang out. It wasn't until 2021 I heard Jeff was back in Texas but he had been diagnosed with cancer. In the beginning it looked like he could beat it. But in the end, it overtook him & he made the decision that he wanted for his life. I always kept Jeff in my thoughts. I wanted him to be my best man at my wedding & godfather to my kids. Always thought that if I started a business or company, that I would bring Jeff in as my 2nd in command. I have no pics or vids of Jeff with me because I always thought I would get the chance later on. But I hope that Jeff is watching over me & helps me in my life for years to come.

I wish I had a picture to share. I only have memories. I remember watching Jeff wrestle at so many tournaments since we were small kids. We never wrestled each other, but ended up being on the same college team together. I was so excited. At first when I tried to talk to him he actually kind of blew me off. Later on, we became close friends and made countless wrestling memories and Mercer party memories together. I'm in the military now and when I mentor my troops I always tell them about my goofy friend Jeff and how he is the nicest guy I've ever met. He was an amazing wrestler, an amazing person, and most importantly an amazing friend.

A little over a year ago my nephew called to wish his Auntie a happy birthday. Little did I know he the day before Jeffery would learn that he had 2 forms of cancer. We conversed over the last year and what I remembered about him was his compassion, kindness and thoughtfulness.  One day when I tried to reach him at the hospital, he didn’t answer. The next day he called apologizing for missing my call and explained why he couldn’t come to the phone. He had good days and bad days. But that particular day was a good day. Jeffery was a very unselfish caring human being. Until we meet again Jeff rest easy in the God’s arms. You are now one of his angels.

We met in Macon and then I visited Jeffery in Athens years ago.  I was going through a hard time and I never told him how much I needed a friend at that time.  That night we spent running around town, bar hopping, having meaningful conversations about life and family.  We laughed so much and being around him was refreshing.  That's my favorite memory of him and that's how I will always remember him.  Rest easy.

Jeffrey was always so sweet. I’ll remember his laugh and quiet nature.  I’ve known him since he was little. He will be greatly missed. 

Jeffrey, you taught me how to be tough on the mat and how to not take one’s self too seriously off the mat. Watching you win state in HS is still a great memory of mine. Thank you for being family for so long and always finding something to laugh at. You’re the toughest kid I ever met. Keep smiling.

High school dances, daily after school Oovoo video calls, coming over and eating so much lumpia with me, laughing so hard every time we went out to eat that people stared at us, my rock when I needed to look on the bright side of things. Jeff, I’m so lucky that we made such great memories over the years. They are ones I’ll hold close to my heart. I will never have another friendship like ours. You will forever be my best friend. I love you always. Until we meet again old friend. Rest in peace ❤️

Jeffrey was a sweet , funny , and strong person . Everytime I saw Jeffrey he was always smiling laughing and happy to see me and the family. He was an awesome cousin , and my heart is broken that we loss jeffery. I’m praying for our family. I ll never forget the memories I do have with Jeffrey and will keep him in my heart forever. Love you Jeffrey and family 🙏🏽

I Remember First working a with Jeff and what I noticed the most was not only his eyes but his Smile, Every time walking into work for a long shift, He was always smiling and laughing. When he was becoming a Manager, He never changed how he acted even though he had a title as a Manager, he still helped out and interact with every single one of us. Jeff Thank you for everything and even though we didn’t spend time as much, I still Enjoyed our talks, Laughs and even hugs. I will miss you so much and your family is in my prayers.

Jeffrey was a man that I was inspired to be like. His positive mindset, talent, intelligence, and work ethic was amazing to me. He will be truly missed. 

This was a great day at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. 

Jeffrey was always happy to be with family. Family was always happy to be with Jeffrey. 

Jeffrey, I love the person you grew up to be. I am so proud to be your family member. The cutest kid ever. 

My memory of Jeffrey will always be that beautiful smile that lit the room when he entered it. We had years with Jeffrey at Benedictine and Mercer. I loved watching him wrestle. He kicked butt with a smile. His love will live on and our love for Jeffrey is never ending.  

Jeffrey’s family is in our prayers. We pray you find comfort during this time.


I remember working with Jeffrey at Pappasitos. He was literal sunshine in human form. He was just always so happy and positive. He made every shift brighter. He was an incredible human.  The kindest soul. 🧡

My condolences to the family! I remember wrestling in the same weight class as Jeffery in high school and being intimidated when I first went against him, but after getting to know him he was so friendly and nice, I always looked forward to seeing him. I know he will be missed.

My deepest condolences go out to this family. Jeffrey was aways so polite honest and always sincere and genuinely nice to everyone. A compliment to his entire family. I knew this young man from youth wrestling while watching him do everything necessary to get better or win. A tough kid in every sense of the word. My heart goes out again to his entire family. This one was truly taken too young. God speed to everyone, RIP
