

Jerry Whitehead, age 83, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Born on July 11, 1942, in Tennessee, Jerry lived a life defined by dedication, service, and deep love for his family.
Jerry was the beloved son of Betsy Pearl Whitehead and Robert Whitehead. From an early age, he carried with him the values of hard work, integrity, and resilience—qualities that would guide him throughout his life.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 22 years, retiring after a distinguished career. As a flight engineer, Jerry demonstrated exceptional skill, discipline, and commitment, earning the respect of his fellow servicemen and leaving behind a legacy of honorable service.
Beyond his military career, Jerry was a devoted family man. He is survived by his daughter, Gayle Whitehead, and his son-in-law, Darrald Alsbrook; his sons, Frankie Whitehead and Michael Whitehead; and his daughter-in-law, Renee Whitehead. He was a proud and cherished grandfather to Kaydee Bailey, April Whitehead, Lexie McQueen, Ava Whitehead, and Jayden Whitehead.
Jerry’s legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: great-granddaughters Paisley Sublett, Scarlett Duval, Kaylynn and Annzlee McQueen, and great-grandson Carson Sublett. He found immense joy in watching his family grow and took great pride in each of their lives and accomplishments.
Jerry will be remembered for his strength, his quiet wisdom, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved. His life was one of honor and purpose, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
