Margaret Lucille Lowry Leath, age 95, from Grand Prairie, Texas passed from this earth to be with her Heavenly Father on February 3, 2023. She was born May 21, 1927 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Andy Clifford and Lorene Russell Lowry. She graduated from Bluegrove High School in 1945. She was married to James Leath for 76 Years; they married on September 8, 1946.
She is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Leath, daughter Linda Morris and husband Danny of Grand Prairie and son, Gary Leath and wife Delia of Grand Prairie and the Philippines. Grandchildren Derek Morris, Melinda Morris Cox, Hannah Leath Rana and Caleb Leath. Great grandchildren, Alyssa Gigante-Morris, Brady, Kate and Reese Chryssikos, Dallas, David and Jacob Rana and Allison and Andrew Leath. A sister, Treva Schlumpf of Windthorst, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Andy Clifford and Lorene Lowry, two sisters and a brother.
Margaret and Jim are members of Matthew Road Baptist Church. Margaret enjoyed taking pictures and scrapbooking. They have lived at Mountain Creek Retirement Living the past 12 years where they have made many friends.
A visitation for Margaret will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Matthew Road Baptist Church, 4601 Matthew Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
