Maria C. DeLeon

Maria was born Feb 23, 1938 in Aspermont, Texas. Married to Sylvester on December 1, 1956

Maria was retired for many years from American Excelsior in Arlington. She enjoyed gardening and maintaining her beautiful lawn. Her family was her pride and joy and spent the majority of her time visiting and supporting their many activities. She was an avid Texas Rangers fan and there was no DIY project should could not tackle. Maria was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and for many years, Immaculate Conception in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Preceded in death by: husband Sylvester DeLeon; her parents Eugenio & Victoria Cantù; Sister Antonia Padron; Brothers Rogelio Cantù, Paul Cantù, Frank Soliz.

Survived by: Son: Sy DeLeon, Jr and wife Kay of Mesa, AZ, sons Eric DeLeon (wife Veronica) and Nicko DeLeon (partner Gabe Hernandez) of Fresno, CA

Daughter: Sylvia Tort, Husband Mario of Hempstead, TX. Children: Jessica Davis (fiancé Ramiro Jaime), son JJ Davis; Mario Tort, Jr.; Vanessa Pagel, husband Matt and daughter Mila all of Houston, TX

Daughter: Sarah DeLeon (partner Debbie Bullard) Euless, TX

Daughter: Jo Ann Bazaldua, husband Danny. Children Erika Holland (Husband Blake) daughter Julia Holland and Julia Nowak (husband Payne) children Elisa, PJ and Joseph Nowak

Daughter: Annalisa Whitley; Children Tiffany Zuniga (husband Nate), daughter Hannah-Grace Hart; Son: Darrell “Bubba” Whitley (wife Faye) children Honesty and Tre Whitley.
