Maria was born in Batesville, TX., April 2, 1934, to Santos Prado-Mother and Salvador Saldaña-Father.
On February 25, 1952, Maria married Jose Maria Escobedo in Batesville, TX., after he migrated here from Mexico.
In addition to caring for her seven children, Maria also dedicated her life as a migrant worker with beyond extraordinary work ethics.
She enjoyed dancing, cooking for the family, spending time and taking care of her grandchildren, and lastly riding in the golf cart around the ranch.
Marie was a devoted catholic and member of the Cursillista Organization while living in Hereford, TX., following the families move to Grand Prairie, TX., then to Natalia, TX.
Maria is survived by her 6 children,12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren, preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jose Maria Escobedo, and her daughter, Guadalupe Escobedo. Maria remained a widower until her death and was the last existing member of her generation.
In conclusion, Maria will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
