Maria Dolores Hernandez was born February 19, 1943, in La Moncada Guanajuato, Mexico to the parents of Felipe Garcia and Asunción Cabrera, she was eight of twelve siblings and was affectionately called Lola.
She met and married Gabriel Hernandez and they had two beautiful children, Maria Hernandez and Juan Hernandez.
Lola’s happy place was outside in the sun. She was an avid gardener who was able to make flowers and plants
flourish in urban Dallas. She nurtured her chickens and could be found in the chicken coop keeping them warm. Most of all she loved her grandchildren, they were dear to her heart.
She went to glory on February 13, 2026. She was predeceased by her husband Gabriel Hernandez. She was survived by her children Maria (Jorge), Juan (Veronica), grandchildren Madeline, Juan, Jay, Sirena, Sabine, Maya, Gabriel and Denise.
A visitation will be held at the Grand Prairie Funeral Home, located at 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050, United States. The visitation is scheduled for February 28, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
