Mary Bunnell reached out to take her husband’s hand in heaven on May 15, 2013. She was born on September 28, 1918 in Hill County to Richard and Elsie (Morgan) Bryan. She graduated from Waco High School and received a secretarial associate degree from 4C Business College in Waco. She married Alton Bunnell on January 13, 1939 in Waco. They had a long and loving marriage until Alton’s passing in 2002. They were members of Calvary Baptist Church in Waco until she and Alton moved to Cedar Hill, TX to be near family. Mary enjoyed a life of many creative endeavors. She was an accomplished artist in oil painting and china painting and a master seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband Alton and son, Bryan.
She is survived by her daughter Lynda Parker and husband Dr. Patrick Parker; granddaughter, Julie Bunnell, Bryan’s daughter; brother Ralph Bryan; a sister Virginia Cashion-Marstellar; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express a special appreciation to Gloria Jauregui, her devoted caregiver and friend. A private graveside ceremony was held at Waco Memorial Park on Sunday, May 18, 2013.
