

He was born in Carson, California on January 28, 1971, to Melis Peters, Sr. and Catherine Peters.
Melis graduated from South Grand Prairie High School in 1990 and went on to get his Master’s degree in Broadcasting.
He was married to Heather (Marble) Peters on August 26, 2017, who meet as freshman at South Grand Prairie High School in 1986.
He worked as the PA announcer for over 30 years at South Grand Prairie High School for the volleyball team as well as both the girls and boys basketball teams. He also worked as a board operator and was an on-air personality for several years at various local radio stations.
He was a member of Crossroads Christian Church where he volunteered with the media team working cameras for several years as well as volunteering in other areas.
Melis was known for his infectious smile. He was always there to make you laugh and give you a hug if needed. He loved his family and loved the Lord.
He is survived by his mother, Catherine Peters, wife, Heather Peters, stepson (bonus son) Jordan Marble, two half-brothers, Darryl Peters and Ronald Peters and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life services will be held Thursday, June 9 at 2:00 pm at Crossroads Christian Church located at 6450 Hwy 360, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
