Patricia Ann Conover Cantu

Patricia Ann Conover Cantu, 68, of Grand Prairie, TX, passed away suddenly on August 4, 2025. Patricia was born in Dallas on October 30, 1956 and lived in Grand Prairie most of her life. She graduated from South Grand Prairie High School in 1975.

After graduation, Patricia worked for Southwest Airlines for several years and then Gifford Hill Pipe (now known as Thompson Pipe) for 19+ years. Upon retiring from Gifford Hill, Patricia worked 4 years as a Teacher’s Aide with the Grand Prairie Independent School District. There she loved the daily interaction with her students and teachers at Florence Hill Elementary.

Known for her kind heart and gentle spirit, Patricia loved her friends and family, but most of all her daughter Kristen and three-year-old granddaughter, Layla. Anyone who knew Patricia would recount that those two were her constant focus. She adored Layla and cherished her time with both Layla and Kristen.

Patricia had a passion for her pets, most recently a boxer named Bella.

Patricia is survived by daughter Kristen Cantu, fiancé Kevin Keasler, and granddaughter, Layla, age 3; her brother, Ron Conover and his longtime partner, Nancy Cole; her brother, Steve Conover and his wife Damita Jo; nieces Wendy Conover Garner, Heather D. Conover and husband Ron; nephews, Cody Conover, and his wife Amanda, Trystan Sangermano, and his wife Brianna; ten great nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Nancy Conover, Patricia was a long-time member of the First Christian Church of Grand Prairie. Services are pending at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home of Grand Prairie.
