

Richard Monroe Moore, of Grand Prairie, TX, died February 26, 2021. He is now dancing the streets of Heaven with his angel Norma Jean Moore. They were married 62 years. Once she was gone, it took him just over six months to reunite with her.
Richard Monroe Moore was born in Cooper, Texas on October 25, 1934 to Emmitt Moore and Dona Cannon Moore. Richard would later be known by most as “Buddy”. Buddy was the oldest son and the second of twelve children.
He is survived by his son Kerry Moore and wife Catherine, daughter Donna Moore, his sister Barbara Pyron and husband Thurman Hoover, and brother Larry Moore and wife Markeita, grandchildren Ashli Amos, Kyle Antle, Melissa Antle, Jason Antle, great-grandchildren Lance Alexander Moore, Andrew Amos, Eli Amos, and Elijah Baca.
He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jean Moore, father Emmitt Moore, mother Dona Moore, brothers Roy, Bobby, and Noel Moore, and sisters Helen Clark, Betty Cross, Ellen Turnipseed, Janice Scott, Edith Moore, Rosetta Moore and grandson Kerry Lance Moore.
Buddy would become known as the “Best Song Leader EVER!” to his church family. He was very active with his church family filling many roles through the years. He was an Army veteran and Master Electrician. Most will remember him as a tall, compassionate, loving man willing to help those in need.
