Bob graduated from Pittsburg State University in Kansas with a specialty in Tool Design Engineering. His working career included such defense industry stalwarts as Boeing, LTV, General Dynamics and Bell Helicopter. He retired from Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth.
His proudest moments in life revolve around his marriage of 66 years to Marlene Sue Hertweck. His darling daughter, Cheryl Sue and her fix-it husband, Paul Lenkowsky were never far away. His two granddaughters brought him immense joy. Anna Elizabeth Lenkowsky and Kristina Sue Lenkowsky made him so very happy.
Bob was well known to all who ate from his huge backyard garden. He was especially famous for his tomato crop. He served as Lead Usher at Inglewood United Methodist Church from more than ten years and his gift of welcoming all made it the perfect job for him.
Bob was proceeded in death by his parents, Charles (Bing) and Lena Hertweck as well as his two sisters, Charlotte Funk and Dorothy Willson, brother, Charles Hertweck and his best friends in life, Margie and Lewis McBride.
In lieu of flowers, our family requests donations be made in memory of my Dad, Robert (Bob) Hertweck to The Woods United Methodist Church at 1350 Bardin Road, Grand Prairie, TX, 75052.
