Roy Dean Adams, 78 years of age of Grand Prairie Texas Died March 20, 2017. Roy was born in Missouri on October 15, 1939 to T Van and Lottie Adams. Roy is survived by his wife Carolyn, brother Bobby, sons Steven and Matt, daughter Cindy, son in law Dave, Daughter in laws Marci and Stacey, grandchildren Mallory, Hailey, Hannah, Brandon, Seth and Christopher as well as great grandchildren.
Roy Grew up in Mississippi with 4 sisters and 8 brothers. He was the son of a cotton farmer and learned the value of hard work at a very young age. Roy left for the Marines and served his country after basic training at Paris Island. Once back Roy worked for Baker tool as a tool and dye machinist. As time passed Roy got into the corrugated box business and became a traveling salesman. Eventually Roy along with his brother Ray and several others opened their own box company. Roy spent over 50 yrs. traveling and selling moving supplies. Roy is known today in the ARKLATEX and surrounding areas as one of the best salesman and customer service relations in his industry. Roy was known by many names: Roy Dean, RD, Dean, Good time Roy, Pops, Poppy, Dad, Unc, Uncle Dean and many more. Roy touched many hearts and would give the shirt off his back to those in need.
