Shana Beth Baraco, age 46, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, June 12, 2014, after a courageous battle with an illness that ultimately took her life. Visitation, Sunday, June 15, 2 - 4 p.m. and funeral, Monday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. Both at Funeraria Del Angel, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie.
Shana was born on March 13, 1968 in Wichita, Kansas to Beth Patton Austin and William John Paul Starzyk, Jr. She married Joseph Baraco on August 18, 1996. Shana was a homemaker, and even though she and Joe had no children, she treated her little Chihuahuas as beloved children. Moco predeceased her, but Fancy Blue was with her until the end.
Shana was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her loving partner of 20 years, Joe Baraco; mother, Beth Austin; brother, John Paul Starzyk; aunt, Ava Chapman; sister-in-law, Cathy Starzyk; uncle, R.K. Patton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Diane Brown and Don Leverty; cousins, Charles Chapman, Elaine Morgan, Rebecca Howard, and Cindy Yarborough and their families, as well as many close and dear friends.
