Suzanne Marie Taylor passed away November 8, 2013. She was born June, 6, 1943 in Seattle, WA to Edwin and Margaret Whitcher. In 1963 she met her husband, Jimmy, in San Francisco and they married November 16, 1963. With Jimmy in the military they spent many years traveling and growing a family, living in places such as Scotland, Guam, South Carolina, Virginia Beach, VA, North Carolina and California, and finally settled in Grand Prairie, TX. Suzanne was a very active, loving wife and mother. A two time breast cancer survivor, she was dedicated and walked for Susan G Komen every year. Along with the pride of being a survivor, she was passionate and had a strong faith, being a member of Matthew Road Baptist Church, which included involvement in the volunteer program, hospitality committee, and part of the young at heart club. As an avid doll collector, includingc, Barbie and Raggedy Ann and Andy. She owned from 600-700 dolls through the years. She enjoyed time outside and loved roses. She was most devoted to her family, a quiet person, not a big prankster, but she loved to be around her boys when they were in a goofy mood, making her laugh in a way most people never heard. She was strong-willed and always supported her children’s choice in religion. Sue loved “Granny”; she was completely self-less when it came to her or anyone else in the family giving them anything that was needed. She loved her grandchildren, supporting all their activities and being their biggest fan. Every holiday season she would bake pies with her grandson Andrew, and once she killed a bee with her bare hands because it stung her grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents , brothers Edwin Whitcher and David Whitcher, nephew Richard Bailey. Survivors: husband Jimmy Taylor Sr., sister Agnes Bailey, children Michelle L. Davis, husband Darel, Darryll W.
