Tommy Cantu Mata

He is survived by his wife, Elsa Mata; sons, Tommy (Ellie), Andy (Flora) and Cisco (Tatiana); daughters, Misty and Lisa (Barry); grandchildren, Celeste, Natalie, Hailey, Isabel, Jaden, Jordan, Samuel, Dylan, Khloe and Jonah.

Tommy was a skilled carpenter and a cabinet installer. He loved music, and jamming out in his garage, relaxing alongside Elsa every evening.

Whether new or classic, he took pride in keeping his vehicles clean and shiny. He was a master chess player and would get a good laugh out of beating his boys at a game.

Tommy enjoyed the time spent with family. Family vacations to the beach were his favorite way to spend a summer.

A visitation for Tommy will be held Monday, July 31, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Grand Prairie Memorial, 3001 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, TX.
