

Tracy Jerrel Garner Jr. “T.J. Garner”, passed away in his second home in Kingston, Oklahoma on Thursday, September 2, 2014. He was born to T.J. Garner and Rosie Ellen Butler Garner in County Line, Oklahoma on February 3, 1931. He was the baby boy of seven children, Jerrel, Neda, Jim, Bernice, Wanda and Faye. He helped his father on the farm until moving to Grand Prairie, Texas as an adolescent. He entered the Army in 1951 and was stationed in Nahbollenbach, Germany as a supply handler in the 522nd Quartermaster supply and depot company and was Honorably discharged in 1953 as a Private First Class. While stationed in Germany he enjoyed writing songs and poetry including one song to the tune of Swanee River called the Nahbollenbach Blues. He later married Virgie Virginia Baldree and went to work for LTV Aircraft as a painter on military aircraft. They had one child Tracy Jean Garner-Williams in 1971, she was the apple of his eye. He enjoyed going to the coast fishing and spending time with his close friends, and wife Virgie in his early years, then later he enjoyed going to Lake Texoma spending time with his daughter Puddin, son-in-law Bubba, and his two grandsons Jr. and Ethan. He also enjoyed spending time with a real good friend Dorathy Davis and her family. He is survived by his only daughter Tracy Jean Garner-Williams, son-in-law Coy Williams Jr., grandsons Coy Williams III and his significant other Teri Kelly, Ethan Williams, step granddaughter Keena Mendoza, husband Eric Mendoza and step granddaughter Emalee. Also very close friend Dorathy Davis, one sister Faye Hendrix, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, two brothers and three sisters, and his wife Virgie.
