Warren graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth and attended 3 1/2 years at the University of Texas at Arlington. He married Nancy Dickson Wienecke on August 23, 1969.
Warren served in the United States Army for four years as a Specialist 4 Medic. After his military service, he worked in the aerospace engineering industry with LTV/Lockheed Martin. He was also a Member of the Dallas County Master Gardeners, Master Composter Organization. Warren was a member of Shady Grove Church and later Gateway Church Grand Prairie Campus.
Warren is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; daughter Jennifer Slenk, her husband Jesse, Warren's son Jeff Wienecke, and his wife, Angela; his precious grandchildren, whom he doted on endlessly, Sonnet Slenk, Shelby Slenk, Winslet Slenk, Colter Slenk, Alton Wienecke, Abbott Wienecke and Erin Wienecke.
