Amanda Kay Ferris, age 48 died unexpectedly at her home on April 26, 2024. Amanda was born on February 24, 1976, the youngest of five children born to Dennis & Marjorie (Brown) Ferris. Growing up in Grand Rapids, she graduated from the Northview schools where she played softball in high school.
Amanda’s world changed when she met Jesus Cisneros, and she quickly realized he was her future. In 1994, they made it official and have spent the last 30 years nurturing their relationship, building their family and making wonderful memories.
Her family was Amanda’s greatest passion. She was a devoted wife, mother and cat mom, but Nana was her favorite title. The addition of grandchildren and a few “grand animals” added a new level of happiness. The priceless moments, the excessive laughter and the treasured memories will always be cherished by her family.
Amanda is survived by her husband Jesus Cisneros, her children: Jordyn (Joseph) Conley, Jayda Ferris and Anthony Cisneros; her grandchildren: Bennett & Alice Conley; her mother Marge Ferris; her siblings: Connie Johnston, Jeff (Lisa) Ferris, Tammy Ferris and John (Kelly) Ferris; her cats Dora & Backpack and her grandkitties: Nala, Winnie and Senora; and her lifelong friend and sister, Felicia Valiat, as well as many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday May 3, 2024 at Reyers North Valley Chapel where memory sharing will begin at 5:00 p.m. Your favorite story is important to Amanda’s family. If you are uncomfortable speaking in public, please bring your memories written for the family to share.
