Barbara Ann Kerr

After graduating, Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Phillip Kerr. Together, they raised their four children: Sandy, Sheri, Sue and Phil. Barbara enjoyed taking her children camping, and on annual trips to California and Florida. It was important to Barbara that her children had fun, made wonderful memories and knew how much they were loved.

After retirement, Barbara started spending the cold winters in Florida and her warm summer months, at home in Grand Rapids. She also continued her travels to California to visit with her late sister, Geraldine.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Phillip, her sweetheart of over 30 years, Bob Davis, her sister Geraldine Greenfield and her parents.

She will be dearly missed by her children: Sandy Rozanski, Sheri (Jeff) Mellema, Sue (Kevin) Burns and Phillip Kerr; her 8 grandchildren: Shawn, Chad, Zackery (Lauren), Corey, Joshua (Caylyn), Brittany (Jesse), Sarah and Austin; her 14 great-grandchildren, and her sister Judy (Tony) Geglio as well as many nieces and nephews.

Barbara will be remembered for her unconditional love for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but she had a special place in her heart for her great-grandson, Colton. There was a love and bond between these two that was apparent by all who saw them together.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and friends at The Brook, they had become like family, and Barbara loved them all. They also are thankful to Emmanuel Hospice for their care and compassion during the last weeks, their support was deeply appreciated.

Visitation for Barbara will be held on Thursday March 7, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel and again on Friday March 8, 2024 from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Plainfield Township Cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of Barbara can be made to Emmanuel Hospice.
