Charlene Marie Clark

On May 21, 1958, Mercer Dean Clark Sr. and Charlene were married in Grand Rapids.

Char was a homebody who enjoyed curling up with a good romance book, spending time in the kitchen cooking or baking bread, and being around her family. She and Mercer tended a vegetable garden, as well as canned their bounty to share with family and friends. Char was an avid bingo player, who loved playing with her group of loyal bingo friends.

Above all, Char loved her family. Her favorite times were always holidays spent around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially loved her beloved dog, Baby.

Char was a wonderful person, who would do anything for the people she loved. She will be greatly missed.

Char is survived by her children Steve (Caroline) Clark, Jane (George) Gross, Bethann (Paul) Tannis, and Mercer Dean Clark Jr.; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and brother David Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mercer; sisters Nancy Smith and Janet Smith; and best friend, Charlene.
