Charles F Readle

Charles F. Readle, age 87 of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away peacefully on February 7th surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Romeo, Michigan on January 18th, 1939, he was the son of the late Harry and Erma Readle. He married the love of his life, Nancy Ojala on September 10, 1960. Charlie started his career in Romeo at Highland Appliances. He moved to Grand Rapids to take a position as sales manager at J.A. White Distributing and was soon promoted to President. He retired from Williams Distributing as the General Manager.

Charlie loved volunteering at Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed the outdoors, wood working. going, remodeling loved one's homes and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid fan of MSU basketball and the Detroit Lions. Charlie lived his life with an open hand heart, kind spirit and unwavering love for all. Charlie was hard-working and dedicated to his family. He left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He never wanted to seek attention, but was routinely sought out for advice, leadership and mentorship. We find comfort in knowing Charlie's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy of 57 years, and his 6 siblings. He is survived by his children Chuck, Christopher (Laura) and Jennifer Travis (Michael). Charlie had 3 grandchildren, Jeremiah Readie (Chrysta), Elizabeth Brinkmeier (Jon) and Hannah Rose (Brian). He also had 6 great grandchildren, Cameron, Callan, Sutton, Levi, Leighton, and Sophia.

Family will meet for Visitation Hour at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave. NE on Monday February 16th at 1pm. The funeral service will proceed at 2pm, and followed by a reception at Fred's Pizza, 3619 Plainfield Ave. NE
