

The family of Chris Allen Frasier of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is saddened to announce his passing away at home surrounded by so much love and close family on September 30, 2025 at the age of 69. Chris is survived by his husband of 46 years, Michael John Porter and their canine companion, Tyson.
Chris is survived by his sisters Marcia (Fred) Rutledge, Janice Frasier, and Darlene Frasier (Judy Malsch). Surviving in-laws include: Rose Porter, Jim (Karen) Porter, Bill (Felicia) Porter, Cheryl Porter, Lisa (John) Klocko, Kim (Nicole) Porter.
Chris also cherished a special relationship with Kasmira (Kai) Porter, child of Kim Porter. He raised Kasmira as his own, and the two had a bond like no other. From daily school runs, homework duties, bedtime routines, and the Tae Kwon Do dojang.
Chris was there for it all.
Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Frasier, grandmother, Ethel Pontius, and nephew Bryan Tavolacci.
Chris mastered his career in lithography at an early age until he retired due to a motor vehicle accident. He had a passion for animals including dogs, birds, fish, raccoons, and any other creatures in need of nurturing and love. He was also a tropical fish aquarist. Chris loved beaches and traveling, making yearly trips to celebrate their anniversary a remarkable 44 out of 46 years to Central America, the Caribbean and Dominican Republic.
Chris is survived by 16 nieces/nephews, 5 great nieces/nephews, and 3 great-great nieces nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to your local Humane Society or the COPD Foundation. We would also like to express our gratitude to Hospice of Michigan care team for the compassionate care Chris received.
