Delores Ruth Dunning

Delores Ruth Dunning, 62, passed away, Sunday, February 12, 2017. She was born in Grand Rapids in January of 1955, the daughter of the late Clare and Eileen Verlin. She was a woman noted for her depth of kindness and being a “saintly” kind of person. Delores was a strong minded, willful and eminent mother, wife, daughter, sister and grandmother. Along with her parents Delores is preceded in death by her brother Michael Verlin as well as her sister Mary Stratton. She will be lovingly remembered by her Husband of 43 years, Patrick Marvin Dunning and her Sons, Patrick (Tiffany), Michael (Beth) and Brian (Katie); Daughters, Melissa (Jake) Roersma and Laura (Dominic) Conigliaro; Grandchildren, Samantha, Claire, Casey, Evelynn, Quincy, Isabella, Ilah, Hazel, Brennan and Benjamin as well as her Sisters, Diane (Richard) Mankel, Lisa (Mark) Johns; Brother Thomas (Deb) Verlin and Brother in Law, James Stratton. She was a graduate of Northview High School in 1973 and continued her education at Davenport University. Delores was an active member and volunteer at St. Jude Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. A visitation will be held at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 5-8 pm, with the rosary being recited at 7:30 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Rev. Mark Peacock, has been scheduled to take place at St. Patrick Catholic Church (4351 Parnell Ave NE, Ada, MI 49301) on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11am, with a time of visitation from 10 to 11am prior to the mass.
