Douglas K. Herrington aged 75 of Grand Rapids passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary in 2004. Douglas will be lovingly remembered by his children; Phyllis (Jon) Thatcher, Ken (Sheila) Herrington, Michael (Linda) Herrington, David Herrington, Alison Davis, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and his nieces and nephews. Douglas worked at Keeler Brass for 42 years and Van Andel Arena for over 10 years. He was a graduate of South High School in 1952. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 30, 2010 at Reyers North Valley Chapel 2815 Fuller Ave NE. Friends and relatives may greet the family on Thursday form 2-4, 6-8 PM and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Spectrum Health Hospice.
