Duane Nicholas Denhof

Duane Nicholas Denhof Jr., aged 63, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday September 30, 2014 in Grand Rapids, MI. Duane was born in Grand Rapids to Duane Sr. and Mary Ellen Denhof. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, son, father, and grandfather. Duane had retired after 25 years of service working for the City of Grand Rapids. He enjoyed time outdoors and was a member of the Barry County Conservation Club. Duane was an avid hunter and trap shooter, hobbies he enjoyed with his late father Duane Sr. He was also a big Detroit Tigers Fan. Duane was preceded in death by his best friend and father Duane Sr. who passed away in 2003. Surviving Duane is his loving spouse of 42 years Barbara; his children; Michele and Ryan and grandchildren; Jayde and Ayden. Also surviving is his mother Mary Ellen; Brother; Brian (Pam) Denhof; brothers and sisters in law; Donald (Pat), Bill (Marge), Ruthanne and Barbara VanEss and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Duane's good friend of many years, Marv Miller. Funeral Services in Celebration of his life will be held at 11am on Saturday October 4, 2014 at Plymouth Heights Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Steve DeVries officiating. Please join the family for Visitation at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 5-8pm. An additional visitation has been scheduled for one hour prior to the funeral service time at the church. Interment to take place at Fairplains Cemetery in Grand Rapids.
