Francele M. Prettyman, aged 92 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Lodge of Maple Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard. Surviving are her children, Phillip Prettyman of Tacoma WA., Candace and Dan Merkel of East Lansing; Her granddaughter, Lauren Merkel of East Lansing. Her good friends, Bill and Helen Stephens, and all of her friends at the Lodge of Maple Creek. Her family would like to thank the staff at the Harbor of Maple Creek, and The Hospice of Michigan, Grand Rapids-South Team, Linda VanPortfliet, Mary Simons, Marlene McCastle, Kathleen Simmons, and Laurie Hoague for their love and support they gave to Francele. Funeral and committal services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30 in the Chapel at the Lodge of Maple Creek, 1950 32nd Street S.E. with Rev. Rebecca Ebb-Speese officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet her family one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
