

Henry Joseph Hojnacki aged 88, of Grand Rapids passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010. He was preceded in death by wife Agnes the love of his life, his parents; Anthony and Marcianna Hojnacki, brother Ted Hojnacki and sister Harriet Walenga. Henry will be lovingly remembered by his children who were very proud of his life achievements; Kathryn Palasek, Patricia (Joseph) Krulek, Mary Lou Atchison, Nancy (John) Nadler, grandchildren; James Palasek, Sheri (Todd) Konwinski, Christine (Paul) Bell, Julie (Michael) Miller, Mike Atchison Jr, Katy Atchison, Lisa (Shawn) Meeuwenberg, Lori (Ryan) King, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Henry proudly served his country as a WWII Veteran. One of his fondest memories was boarding the train and seeing his wife Agnes wave to him as he left for war. Henry and Agnes owned and operated Expressway Wood Turning Business for over 25 years. His love of wood working was evident to his friends and family members that were blessed with his candle stick holders and other crafts. He loved to garden and work in his shop in his retirement. Henry will be remembered as a generous person and will be deeply missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11:00 AM on Friday, October 22, 2010 at St Jude Catholic Church 1120 4 Mile Rd NE with Rev Thomas Page as celebrant. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends and relatives may greet the family on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Reyers North Valley Chapel 2815 Fuller Ave NE or 1 hour prior to the service at the church. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.
