Jeffrey A. Vantine

Jeffrey A. Vantine, Age 61, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016. He was born in 1954 in Detroit, MI to Jack and Loretta Vantine. Along with his parents Jeff was preceded in death by his brother John Vantine. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Julie [Van't Hof], children Jason (Elizabeth) Vantine and Jennifer (Corey) Knauf as well as grandchildren Lucas, Kaley, Kendall and Charlotte. Also surviving is Jeff's Brother Jim (Cindi) Vantine. Jeff and Julie lived in Arizona where they raised their two children. In 1994 they moved to the Grand Rapids area where Jeff worked as the Vice President of Operations at Rapids Air for several years. He and Julie were members of Orchard Hill Church where Jeff recently served on the soundboard and worked as the maintenance man. Jeff enjoyed camping with his family as well as cooking, listening to music, tinkering with cars and flying. Jeffrey's funeral service has been scheduled at Orchard Hill Reformed Church (1465 Three Mile Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544), officiated by Pastor Bob Karel on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 11am. Visitation will be held at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 5-8pm with an additional hour of visitation on Friday at church from 10-11am prior to the service. Memorial contributions in memory of Jeff may be directed to Orchard Hill Reformed Church.
