Joseph Elson Melton

Joseph Elson Melton, 8/11/1932 - 8/12/2017 of Grand Rapids was born in Benton, Arkansas to George and Bertha Melton. Joe spent his life working in sales and retired after owning a campground with his loving wife, Irene Melton, of 48 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert, Gerald, and Dale Melton along with his sisters, Lavern Melton, Marie Ludeke, and Verna Hodkins, and his stepdaughter, Colleen Vineyard. Joe is survived and will be deeply missed by his wife, Irene; brothers, Doyle, Donald (Marsha), Glenn (Carol), and Curtis (Sonya); sisters, Edna (Bob) Schomlers and Janie Kelly; along with his children, Joseph Michael Melton, Jeffrey Scott Melton, Kyle (Melissa) Vineyard, and his daughter Karla (George) Grzybowski; eight grandchildren and four great grand children. Joe enjoyed being outdoors, going hunting, fishing, and being with family. Joe wants to be remembered by his loved ones who've had an impact on him throughout his life and shared those memories with him. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Reyers North Valley Chapel.
