I just went to the Dr.'s office today and was made aware of Julie's passing.  She was the sweetest receptionist I have ever encountered anywhere.  I will miss seeing her beautiful smile.  May God give you peace and strength.

This news of Julie's death is so very sad. A very special person who could brighten up your day with her smile. May God bless and keep her family in His loving care.

My family and I are very saddened to hear of JUlie's passing. She truly was a sweet lady. Her smile and warmth upon entering the office was a great comfort. She will be so missed. OUr prayers and thoughts go out to her family.

Julie was a very kind, loving, and caring woman. She always spoke of her children and how much she loved her job. She will be surely missed by every last person who came in contact with her.

I just walked into Advantage Health yesterday and her sunshine was immediately missed. I saw her once a month to pick up family prescriptions, but anyone who touched her life, even for a minute, was her friend.  She will be missed by the people who only knew her by her greeting and smile. I was so saddened to hear about Julie. She was  always smiling when I would see her at Advantage Health. She talked about Colby and always asked about my child too. The office will not be the same.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies. I was a patient where Julie worked. I just want you to know she amazed me every time I would see her.  First of all she would smile and always ask how my 3 kids were doing. My daughter is the same age as Colby and we would always swap stories about parenting. She always made me feel welcome and like she was a dear friend of mine. 

She was a light in the world and I want you to know that she made a difference in my life. She loved talking about Colby and I new she was a great mom. She was a gift in this world and I just want you to know how treasured she was among the patients that visited the office where she worked.

I just found out a couple of week's ago that Julie was sick and was shocked today to read this obituary.  I want you to know as a husband and a son, how much I appreciated Julie's warm, kind, smile every time I walked into the doctor's office.  She saw all three of my babies throughout my pregnancies and well-child visits.  She always wanted updates and had kind compliments to share.  She also kept me updated on you, Colby as you and my oldest were born just months apart.  When my husband died unexpectedly in 2010, she was most sincere in her condolences.  Your wife and mom was a beautiful woman and I pray that you would be comforted by an amazing God through these next months and beyond of grief.  A patient at Advantage Health, Melissa

It's been many years since I saw Julie. I have been thinking of our childhood friendship a lot these past few weeks.  When we were kids, I couldn't wait to see her when my family came up to the property on weekends.  Had a blast riding the dirt bikes, horseback riding and our adventures in the woods and going into town.  Julie had a beautiful smile and a big heart.  I will miss my friend. Dear Steven & Colby~ I  want you all to know how very special Julie's friendship has been to me. I haven't gone to "Advantage Health" for my own health issues for a very long time, but that was my first interaction with Julie. I will never forget the first conversation we had. She shared Colby's pictures with me, and we talked and talked, like she had known me for my whole entire life. Julie always made one feel like you were the most important person in the room. She always managed to greet someone with sincerity, and that was always because she WAS sincere. Julie ALWAYS genuinely was interested in what was going on in the lives of others, and I guess to me that always has made me love her from the start. When I had a health scare, she was the first person I spoke with and truly said to me things that I needed to hear, when I didn't have the courage or strength to tell anyone else because I was too emotionally drained.

I got to know Julie better when Colby joined scouts. I had a lot of opportunities to sit with her at pack meetings and chat a bit. My only regret is not finding the time to be a better friend and hang out after work, but then again, I guess when it comes to any time outside of work and family or church, it gets very limited because we just never find or make the time because life gets busy and stuff gets in the way. Julie is someone I would go out of my way for, and I wish now there was time left, just as I am sure you all are thinking, to go to a movie, or dinner, or whatever. I feel cheated, and I know you both do too.

Colby, I want you to know your mother never stops talking about how proud she is of you. She would tell me all the time what you are doing or what she wants to do for you and give you the world. Never in this world has a mother loved her son the way that she loves you. I know you must miss her so much, and want you to know I completely understand. She would give you the moon if she could do it, but maybe even now she's trying to conjure up some way to send you a shooting star....

Julie has always had a huge impact in the Northview community and also since she worked so long where she did, there aren't many people who work for Mercy Healthcare Partners that do not know who she is. I work for Spectrum Health, but in my contact center, two other people knew her because their family members worked with her or they themselves had gone to the office for appointments at one time or another. I wanted to share with you this:

I had someone the other day tell me that she inspired them to go into the medical field to become a receptionist, because she made them feel so good and made that job seem like it was the best position in the world. THAT is a testimony...Julie's life here is like a thrown stone into a pool of water....it may have been tossed once, and you would think...okay...the stone is now gone and we'll never see it again. However, that's not the case at all. That stone made a succession of ripples and splashes and waves....that wave went by, probably not visible to the casual observer, but it flows over and over and crashes down on others, touching nearby souls. That ripple effect just keeps going and going.

 I am having a difficult time with this, and want you to know that even on  Facebook there are mutual friends we share that have sent an outpouring of condolences and memories of her and she has touched a million souls, just like a stone thrown into the water.

I pray you always know in your memories her smile and warmth, and that Colby always knows how proud of him she is. I am so sorry for your loss, and want you all to know there will never be a day where I take for granted how precious this short life is. I will truly miss Julie.

It has been a while since I have talked with or seen Julie. A few conversations thanks to FB here and there. The conversations we did have brought back many great memories.
