Mack R. Bennett, aged 72, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. He was preceded in death by his brother William Price in 1944, sister Marilyn Kelley in 1973 and brother Ronald Bennett in 2004. Surviving are his brother Earl Price and sisters Evelyn Fletcher, Rose Walthorn, Carrie (Larry) VanWieren, and Deborah (Gary) Scharf. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and a very special nephew, Allen VanWieren. Mack enjoyed traveling and cookouts. He retired from The Grand Rapids Public Schools where he worked for over 35+ years as a custodian. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Fairplains Cemetery.
