

Mary Bernadine [Daniels] Carrothers, age 102, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 19, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband and high school sweetheart Frank, her parents Chandler and Pauline (Brown) Daniels; sisters, Frances (Arthur) Platte and Barbara Allen; brother, Laurence C. Daniels; great-grandson, Alan as well as her nephews Chandler L. Daniels and Charlie Gilmer and niece Linda Daniels. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Kathleen (William) Buchanan and Mary Wood; grandchildren, Lori (Jim) Ronan, John Poe, Kathleen Brown, Molly (Kirk) Bierens, Maribeth (Christopher) Warloe, Christopher (Susan) Wood, William Buchanan II, Jason (Julie) Wood, Michael (Lynnelle) Buchanan, and Melissa (Dan) Quinn. Also surviving are 19 great-grandchildren plus two more expected in December; 18 great-great grandchildren; nieces, Kelly Allen, Marilou Bonnier, and Kay (Larry) Snyder; nephews, Laurence (Mari Jo) Daniels, many friends; and her special friend, Jenny Koelzer.
Mary was a charter member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a founding member of the Choir. She later joined Blessed Sacrament Parish where she has been a longtime parishioner and choir member. Mary has accomplished many things in her years. She graduated from Creston High School, at the age of 16, with her high school sweetheart. She would then go on to build an entire neighborhood on her family’s property around Emerald Lake. Mary was a very independent woman who lived her life to the fullest with her family by her side. She was a loyal Republican who had a wonderful and funny sense of humor.
