Michael was born in Grand Rapids, MI on August 8, 1946 to Wayde and Margaret Kryger. He graduated from Creston High School and Ferris State University. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Michael had a passion for sports and enjoyed following the Lions and the Tigers. He especially enjoyed cheering on his nieces and nephews at sporting events.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Chrissy McGuigan.
Michael is survived by his sisters, Maureen Richardson (Charlie), Cathy Strunk (John), and Geri Michelle Holmes (Mark); brother in law, Brian McGuigan; seven nieces and nephews; ten great-nieces and great-nephews with one more on the way; and many loving family and friends.
A memorial service for Michael will be held Monday, August 18, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave N.E., Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505 with visitation the hour prior.
