After graduating from Houghton High School in 1947, Milt proudly served our country in the Navy. After his honorable discharge, he took a job working at Ford Tractor Assembly in Romeo.
While working at Ford, Milt met a pretty young lady named Joan Flowerday. They lived near each other and started carpooling to work. Their friendship soon bloomed into romance, and the happy couple were married on June 30, 1962.
After retiring from Ford, Milt started a second career working material management with Huron Valley Hospital. Even after he hung up his working hat, Milton was still active. He believed in giving back to his community and was a longtime member of the Lions Club, a volunteer at Meijer Gardens and the Kent County Blood Bank. He was often found greeting visitors with his friendly smile.
When he wasn’t working, Milt was usually found on the golf course or watching sports. He was an avid Detroit Lions fan. He was a voracious reader of WWII history and enjoyed playing cards. Together, he and Joan loved traveling and made wonderful memories on their journeys.
Family was Milt’s greatest passion, and he treasured the time spent together. The hardworking, dedicated family man will be missed for his friendly and kind spirit by all who knew and loved him.
Milton is survived by his children: Scott (Susan) Boesler, Cherie Snider and Terry (Alain) Louchez, his son-in-law Mike Storrer; his grandchildren: Alex, Jacquelyn, Gabrielle, John, Derek, Nick (Cortni), Marc and Stephen. Milt was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Joan and his daughter Susie Storrer.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 4, 2025, at Fairplains Cemetery.
