Nellie Vis, aged 89, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday August 19, 2014. Nellie was born in Wayland, Michigan on May 14, 1925. She was preceded in death by her parents Martin and Elsie VanderWoude, and her husband Stanley Jr. Surviving are her children Jerry Vis, Ken (Sherri) Vis, Diane (Earl) Ringelberg, Jim (Michelle) Vis, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Nellie raised her children and grandchildren, and will be remembered as a caring mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, playing the piano, sewing, and embroidery. Her green fruit Jello was a family favorite and she truly will be missed. Please join her family on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 6-8 pm for visitation at Reyers North Valley Chapel and again for Funeral Services at 1pm on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Interment in Fairplains Cemetery.
