Nicholas Frank

One afternoon, during a chance meeting Nick met a young lady named Jane Johnston. He was quickly smitten with her cute and shy nature, after some persuading, Jane agreed to a date. That one date led to November 10, 1971, when the happy couple were united in marriage.

Nick and Jane made a great team. While Jane managed the home, Nick provided for his family by working for National Color Correct where he had climbed the ladder to VP. He spent the second half of his career working for Forest Hills Northern High School as an IT media specialist.

When he wasn’t working, Nick was spending time with his family. There were countless camping trips to the Manistee National Forest, and many winters to Clearwater Beach, Florida. He loved traveling in general and his job took him to many global destinations.

Tinkering came naturally to Nick. He could fix anything and loved working on small engines and cars. He even built his own car that he called the “fastest car around” which was a Barracuda.

A good cook, Nick, enjoyed spending time in the kitchen feeding his family and friends. He also had a soft spot for animals and was a natural animal magnet with cats and dogs drawn to his caring ways.

Nick had a long history of health challenges, however, through his sense of humor and love of his family, he never complained. He will be remembered for his full and well-lived life.

Nick is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane; his children Nicholas (Carrie) and Sarah; his grandchildren: Leyton, Ethan, Maren, Aven, Charlotte and Oliver; his sister Linda (Don) Heibel and his sister-in-law Noni Frank as well as many other relatives. Nick was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kimberly, his brother Curtis Frank and his parents.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday May 27, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel where a Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m.
