

Norma Jean Weeda Blok (Jeannie Scheidel) aged 78, of Grand Rapids passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Kay Don Weeda, her parents and 2 siblings. Jeannie will be lovingly remembered by her husband and friend Dick Blok, children; Anne Weeda, Linda (Larry) Patterson, Bonnie (Bill) Reamon, Kay “Butch” (Diane) Weeda, Pat Beck, Sue (Dick) Wager, Tom Weeda, Colleen (Rob) Burnett, Kyle (Samantha) Weeda, grandchildren; Amanda (Scott) Pribble, Aaron (Tiffany) Patterson, Sarah, Billy, Justin, Molly Reamon, Christin (Rob) Prokopy, Kay Weeda III, Tammy (Tommy) Huizing, Jenny (Johnny) Clauson, Mike Beck, Richard II, Jean, David Wager, Jake Weeda, Cody, Tyler, Mary Burnett, Brandon Rice, Austin, Noah Weeda, great-grandchildren; Mariah Patterson, Robert Prokopy, Ashleigh Weeda, Freja, Ingrid Clauson, step-children; Gail Blok, Gary (Christine) Blok, Tracy (Doug) Schneider, Ginger Blok, Margaret (Joe) Doorenbos, 10 step-grandchildren and 7 great-step-grandchildren, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and many, many nieces, nephews and special friends. Jeannie was a 30 year retiree from GM Fisher Body Alpine, a member of St Jude Catholic Church for 54 years, member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Evart, MI, member of the Moose in Evart and a Ladies Auxiliary Member of the American Legion Post 47. She was a determined, strong, tough and tender person who was proud of her Irish and German heritage. Jeannie loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and being at her little slice of heaven on the lake. Most of all she loved being with her family. A Memorial Mass will be held 1PM on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at St Jude Catholic Church 1120 4 Mile Dr NE. Friends and relatives may greet her family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Reyers North Valley Chapel 2815 Fuller Ave NE. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM.
