

Pam was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota in 1951 to Donald and Marianne Musil. She attended William Kelley High School in Silver Bay, Minnesota before receiving her bachelor’s degree in education and music from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. She later earned a master's degree in reading from Central Michigan University. Pam dedicated her professional talents to academia, having served as an elementary and college-level teacher; as the language arts consultant for the Alpena Public School District; and as an elementary school principal administrator.
Pam was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and loved her friends. She was devout in faith and her relationship with Christ. She was a strong advocate for literacy and reading and passionate about music. She loved late night conversations around the kitchen table, leading bible study and book club.
Pam is survived by her daughters Tess (Scott) Van Dongen; and Trina (Nicholas) Dummer; her brother Tony (Barb) Musil along with nephews Craig Musil and Chris Musil, a niece Jenna (Chris Brandt) Musil and great nieces Kayla (Luke) Snyder, Hazel and Fiona Brandt. She will be missed every day.
A memorial service will be held on Monday September 9, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave Ne, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. A special thanks to the staff at Trinity Hospital, Mary Free Bed, Crossroads Elder Care, Rest Haven and Emmanuel Hospice
