Richard F. Ryder

On March 12, 2016, Richard F. Ryder passed away peacefully with family by his side and went to be with his Lord. Rich was born to the late Fred Ryder and Emma Oesch in the winter of 1933. Along with his parents Rich is preceded in death by his brothers Jim and Roger. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 63 years Clara, as well as by his children Mark Ryder, David (Sarah) Ryder, and Deborah (Daron) Johnson, his grandchildren Racheal (Trevor), Jessica, Matthew, Joseph and Rich's brother Charles (Stacey) Ryder. Rich proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1957. He was a hard worker and fun loving man. Rich was a dedicated employee of General Motors for 30 years until his retirement. He was always smiling with his contagious smile that could light up a room. He loved to go out on the motorcycle or go sailing. He was the type of guy you could meet and strike up a conversation with in no time. Rich will be remembered as a devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Reyers North Valley Chapel with Pastor Doug Crawford presiding.
