Following his graduation from high school, Rich joined the US Army. He proudly served our country for four years. After his honorable discharge, Rich settled his family in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he was a truck driver for several companies.
An avid sports fan, Rich was a lifelong fan of his New York Jets and in his younger years he played lacrosse. He loved a great joke and will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Rich is survived by his children: Matteo and Jersi Tofano (and their mother, his ex-wife, Toni Jolman) and Carlisle Knowlton (and his mother Jennifer Knowlton); his grandson Jaxon Tofano; his mother Lee Kostishak and his brother Michael Tofano as well as many other relatives.
Following cremation, private family services will be held.
