Robert Scott Dertien, age 36 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully, after complications from a recent surgery, while in the company of loved ones on August 12, 2017. He was born in Grand Rapids in the Spring of 1981 to Thomas and Candice Dertien. Rob will be lovingly remembered by his parents; brothers Steve (Alisa) and Todd as well as by his niece Avery and nephew Colin. Also surviving Rob is the love of his life, Megan Annette Boot. Rob was a graduate from Ferris State University and a proud member of Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity. He was a devoted and dedicated employee of RDV Corporation.
