Robert Joseph DeVries “Bob the owner” passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in his home in the company of family. He was preceded in death by his sisters Beverly Spillane and Phyllis Gustafson. Bob is survived by his children, Todd (Jody) DeVries of Cape Coral Fl, Laura (Case) Kasper of Grand Haven, and Lisa (Jim Cole) Bradley of Gowen.; his grandchildren Christopher, Vanessa, Troy (Calli), Derek (Jenn), Simon (Laura), Blade, Samantha (Bruce) Huntley, Aimee and Mykel; great grandchildren Kaden, Abrianna, Logan and Tucker. Also surviving are his Brother Scudder (Trudy) DeVries and his former wife of 29 years Annette DeVries as well as his aunt and dear friend Betty (Tom). Bob was a longtime member of the American Legion Post # 47 as well as the proud owner of the Brookhaven Mobile Home Park. Please join the family in celebrating Bob’s life at 2:00 PM Sunday July 6, 2014 at the American Legion Post # 47 (3811 West River Dr., Comstock Park), where military honors will be rendered under the auspices of the Kent County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
