Robert Allen Hall

Robert Allen Hall, age 80, of Grand Rapids passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jeanette Pearson Hall; his children Linda and David Anderson, Jeffrey and Heather Hall, and Nancy and Ray James; and seven grand children: Michael, Matthew, and Alena Anderson; Dylan, Daisy, and Daphne Hall; and Katherine James. He is also survived by Jeanette’s siblings: Karen and David Palmer and Paul Pearson; many nieces and nephews; and his Aunt Thelma Golaher. He was predeceased by his parents, Allen “Jeff” Hall and Myrtle Haffey Hall, and his sister and brother-in-law, Therma and John Kleersnyder. Mr. Hall graduated from Western Michigan University in 1960 and held many positions throughout his life. He was a math and shop teacher and a draftsman, and he retired from Steelcase in 1992. He was a member of the Doric Lodge #342, and the VFW. Visitation for family and friends will be at the Reyers North Valley Funeral Chapel, 2815 Fuller NE at Three Mile Road on Sunday evening, March 7; from 2 until 6 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, March 8, at Faith Lutheran Church on Fuller Avenue. Friends and family may also call one hour prior to the services on Monday at the church. Burial will take place in Rosedale Memorial Gardens. The Kent County Honor Guard will conduct Military Honors.
