Robert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 27 years. He was so proud of the career he built and the service he gave to this grateful nation. After retiring from the Air Force as a decorated veteran, he went on to work for Bells Howell and eventually retired from Amway. In his free time, Robert enjoyed bowling, golfing, and reading. He was an avid reader often reading a book in a few hours and he would go to the library every week and check out stacks of book. If he was not reading, you could find him rooting for his favorite team - The Notre Dame Fighting Irish! Above all, Robert was a family man. He adored his family and often said the best days of his life were when his children were born. Robert always knew how to make you smile, he had a plethora of jokes and he would tell them to anyone who would listen. He was a funny and lovable man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
