

Ronald J. Blauwkamp, lovingly known as Ron, was born in Zeeland and passed away surrounded by family and love. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, a loyal friend, and a man whose warmth, integrity, faith, and kindness left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew him.
Ron was the proud father of two daughters, Rachelle Blauwkamp and Renee Liu, who were the great joys of his life. His love for his family was constant, generous, and unwavering.
Ron is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean Blauwkamp; his daughters, Rachelle Blauwkamp and Renee Liu; his son-in-law, Franklin Liu; his grandchildren, Christian Blauwkamp, Breana Blauwkamp, Lilianna Liu, Vivian Liu, and Carissa Liu; his great-granddaughter, Jaclyn Blauwkamp; his brother, Lyndon Blauwkamp (Kimberly); his sister-in-law, Linda Blauwkamp; and his brothers-in-law, Leo Twork (wife Judy), Pat Twork, and Rosie Twork, along with many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Gerald Blauwkamp; his brother, Ken Blauwkamp; his nephew, Greg Blauwkamp; his parents-in-law, Leo and Ann Twork; his brother-in-law, John Twork, sister-in-law Judy Twork; his sister-in-law, Laurel Twork; and his brother-in-law, Andy Twork.
Ron was a graduate of Holland Christian High School and went on to attend Aquinas College and Davenport University. He proudly served in the Army National Guard, including during the Detroit riots, reflecting his sense of duty, courage, and commitment to service.
Ron served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Holly’s Incorporated.
He later retired from Amway’s accounting department.
Ron built a successful accounting business where he treated his clients like family. He deeply valued the annual visits with the families he served—often across multiple generations—and took great pride in the trust and relationships he built over a lifetime.
Ron was an active and devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church, never missing a service, and faithfully served for many years as church treasurer. He was also a proud member of the American Legion, where he served as treasurer, continuing his lifelong commitment to service, responsibility, and community.
Ron will be remembered for his contagious smile, vibrant blue eyes, classic humor, and genuinely kind heart. He enjoyed hockey, baseball, football, fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, gardening, card games, and Scrabble. He was always willing to try new things and approached life with curiosity, openness, and joy.
Throughout his life, Ron valued fairness, hard work, faith, and doing what was right. He was a man of principle and compassion—someone others could rely on and trust.
Above all, Ron will be remembered for the love he gave and the family he cherished. His legacy lives on through his daughters, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, who will carry his memory forward with pride and love.
A casual Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel.
A second visitation will be held Monday, January 19, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ron’s memory to a cause that reflects his faith, values, and care for others.
Ron’s life was a gift, and his memory will forever be a blessing.
