Ruth Irving

Ruth Irving age 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. She was born on November 27, 1928 in Wyoming, MI to Henry and Elsie Bultema. Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jack Lee Irving Sr. who passed away in 2006 as well as her grandson Nathan Tyler. She was the last surviving of her seven siblings. Ruth graduated from Lee High School and Michigan State with a degree in Education. She enjoyed her work as a teacher prior to the birth of the first of her six children. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing and was a loving and compassionate mother and grandmother. Ruth will be remembered by her sons; Jeffrey (Erika) Irving, Mark (Georgina) Irving, Keith (Mary) Irving, Jack Lee Jr. (Karen) Irving, Scott (Laura) Irving, as well as her daughter Jill (Mike) Kaminski. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Ruth’s family would like to express their appreciation for the compassionate care bestowed upon their mother by the staff at Holland Home Fulton Manor Van Andel Pavilion. Please join the family for visitation on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 1:30pm until the time of her Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Steve McDaniel at 2:30pm at Reyers North Valley Chapel.
