Ruth A. Rockwell

Ruth Ann Rockwell, age 68, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on August 10, 2016. Ruth was born in the winter of 1947 to the late Leonard and Adrianna Guigelaar in McBain, MI. Along with her parents Ruth is preceded in death by her brother Curtis Guigelaar. She will be lovingly remembered by her 3 sons, Dean Rockwell, Lenny Rockwell, and Michael Reynolds. She will also be deeply missed by several grandchildren, her great-grandchild, brother James Guigelaar, sister Avis Klein and her many special friendships through the Oakview Community Church. Ruth was a lifelong member of Oakview Community Church. She was very involved with the church activities such as the children’s reading club and bible study. Ruth had passion and a knack for crossword puzzles and had the type of mind that made her a tough opponent in any word game, especially scrabble. She enjoyed crafting, needle point, and activities with the family. She also was passionate about her careers as both a registered nurse and a legal secretary. Ruth’s family would like to thank those friends who visited and spent time with her during her final days. Please join Ruth’s family for a time of visitation at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 6-8pm. The funeral service officiated by Pastor Gerald VanderVelde, will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11am with an hour visitation prior beginning at 10am.
