Stanley M. Wheeler

Age 86, died on Monday, 9/26/16. He was born in Ionia, MI to Delbert and Esther Wheeler who along with his daughter Kristine Anderson precede him in death. Stan is survived by his spouse of 21 years Carolyn (Oberholtzer); 4 children Kathleen (Don Spence) Wheeler, Karla (Richard Harding) Nelson, Melissa Heeres and Randall Heeres; cousin Doug (Bonnie) Widmeyer; father-in-law Ward Oberholtzer; brothers-in-law William (Linda) Oberholtzer and Kenneth (Marie) Oberholtzer. He was a dedicated Kent County Sheriff Deputy for 31 years until his retirement in 1988. Stan and Carolyn were enthusiastic motorcyclists and members of the Midnight Riders Michigan Chapter G of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He was proud of his family and will be lovingly remembered as a devoted husband and father. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service has been scheduled to take place at Reyers North Valley Chapel on Monday, 10/3/16 at 11am with visitation 1 hour prior. Stan will be laid to rest in Blythefield Memory Gardens.
